Gimmick

Second generation 28 year old son of Jake Keeton. He was a dual sport wrestling and basketball star in high school, then quit basketball during his senior year to focus on amateur wrestling. He went undefeated in his lone year of college.

He was raised by his father and stepmother after his mother died of a drug overdose when he was 2. He has been diagnosed twice with a rare form of cancer and is currently cancer free.

He made his in ring debut in 2016 at age 17. His father’s arch rival, JJ Biggs, trained him first. Further training and mentorship from Matthew “The Raven” Knox at Corvid Combat Academy took him to another level.

Strengths

Athleticism and agility
He isn’t a high flyer in the traditional sense, but years of basketball gave him an incredible vertical leap that helps him on offense and defense. His drop kick is used multiple times per match.
Strength
Deceptively strong for his size. He worked on horse and cattle farms through high school, so he’s what some call “farm boy strong.”
Speed and explosiveness
Incredibly fast, and he surprises smaller opponents by matching their speed. His acceleration comes from his first step, and he slows down over longer distances.
Knowledge of the industry
He grew up in the business, knows most of the wrestlers he meets, and is always watching and learning from everyone.

Weaknesses

Emotional
He has no poker face. Whatever he’s feeling shows on his face, and his emotions have cost him professionally and personally.
Size
Athletic and strong as he is, he struggles against a bigger, stronger wrestler who can ground him and slow him down.
Injury prone
Concussion issues began in late 2021 and still affect him, even with no physical symptoms and clearance from doctors. Mainly, he began seeing things and people that weren’t there.
Ego
This has developed only over the last year and a half, brought on by success. It has caused fans and fellow wrestlers to sour on him.

Entrance

The arena lights go out and “What Remains” by Pop Evil begins to play, joined by a few screams, glass breaking, and a baby crying.

The lights come up slowly as the song continues. JC Keeton stands on the ramp, head down, arms out to the side.

As the last word of the song is sung, the lights come up completely. Keeton lifts his head and grins, then makes his way to the ring. As he rolls in, a few fans start a chant that carries until the match begins.

KEE-TON! KEE-TON! KEE-TON!
